Hello, my name is Arya Vilandai! I am a freshman at New York University and am deeply passionate about women in the music industry. As an aspiring artist myself my goal is to understand different roles that women play in the industry as musicians and entrepreneurs. We often hear top news stories about popular female artists through mainstream media, and I wanted to explore these musicians from a growing artist’s perspective.

In this blog, I aim to explore how specific women have changed the industry, how we can learn from them, and about different historical artists who were pioneers in their own right.
